GRANTS AWARDED FOR FIREWORKS TAX MONIES

The fire departments that were awarded the Fireworks Tax Grants are as follows:

Banks County Fire & EMS - $7,761.00
Camilla Fire Department - $5,172.00
Gresston Volunteer Fire Department - $4,700.00
Jacksonville Volunteer Fire Department - $5,850.00
Lafayette Fire Department - $4,000.00
Laurens County Fire Department - $8,160.00
Loco Volunteer Fire Department  - $5,850.00
Lumber City Fire Department - $15,963.00
McDuffie County Fire Department - $3,750.00
McRae-Helena Fire Department - $2,880.00
Ray City Volunteer Fire Department - $2,025.00
Rayle Fire Department $7,200.00
Roddy Volunteer Fire Department - $7,251.00
Stuckey Volunteer Fire Department - $8,896.00
Sylvania Fire Department - $1,433.00
Tazewell Volunteer Fire Department - $21,099.00
Union County Fire Rescue - $3,300.00
Webster County Fire/EMS - $8,546.00
Wilkes County Fire Service - $13,600.00

The amount of the grants totaled $142,906.00.  Each department was required to pay 10% of their grant.  The total amount paid from the Fireworks Tax Monies that was received by Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council was $128,615.00.
